So, we have been arguing about what our next post could be about when this group of runners came across our way. Well, that’s obviously a lie.. nothing as magical as that happened. We could not think about a better and less boring introduction, that was the best we could do. Aside from our very weird introduction, you hear probably because you are looking for a good fitness tracker for running. There are multiple brands out there, and we want to make it easier for you to pick one. So on behalf of you ladies and gents out there, we did our research and came up with the best running trackers on the market that you can get in 2018.

We did try some of them, but mostly the products in our post are based on exports recommendation and people’s experiences with it. Now, as you already know there are a lot of fitness trackers on the market and all are great fulfilling one need or another. In this post our interest is mainly in running, we listed the ones that serve that the most.

We loved the Garmin forerunner 35 because it covers the basics very well, and considered to be a high-level fitness watch. Unlike other running trackers, the Garmin forerunner 35 is easy to use and navigate through the different modes it has.

As we mentioned, the forerunner 35 monitors your heart rate, and the collected data can be viewed in the application accompanied by Garmin’s product “ Garmin connect app”.  The device can be connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth.  You can receive and check notification on the watch display, everything from calls and texts notifications to view weather and music control playback.

The  TomTom activity tracker has a dedicated trail running mode, which makes it a good choice for runners. This tracker also has other modes like; road running, hiking, skiing and open workouts. It is one of the best trackers when it comes to outdoor multi-sport support. The tracker has both GPS and heart rate sensors, along the side with other sensors. It has an accelerometer that tracks all day activities and collects data related to steps, distance, and calorie. Also, the TomTom adventurer tracks the elevation which needed in the hiking and skiing modes. However, a great feature about the TomTom that probably worth its price is the route exploration mode. This mode helps you to upload GPX routes to the watch, which you can follow once you start your run.

Fitbit charge 2

The charge 2 is an all-day activity tracker; it tracks steps, distance, calorie burned and floor climbed. This one right here is perfect if you just started running, and you want to go low on cash. We considered the Tom Tom spark 3 as one of the best running trackers since it covers the basic and simple running metrics; as in distance, speed and time. With its heart rate sensors, the TomTom spark 3 provides better data regarding your performance. Just like the TomTom adventurer, spark 3 has a Route Exploration feature, which enables you to upload GPX routes and follow them using the watch. Not only that, the watch stores mp3 songs, which you can pair up with wireless headphones using Bluetooth and jamming your way.

With the spark 3, you still have the GPS, multisport tracking, heart rate sensor and all day activity tracking. The spark 3 tracks also sleeping, but it doesn’t provide detailed data to it as the spark 3 focuses mainly on the activity tracking side. The TomTom spark 3 is waterproof up to 40m, which means you can swim wearing this watch.

Polar M430

The polar m430 deserved a place on our list of best running trackers because according to the experts it is a featured-packed tracker. The polar M430 is easy to use, you will not find any difficulties moving and navigating around.

Okay, this one is a little bit expensive but definitely worth every single dollar. The Forerunner product line is always impressive, we had posted about the forerunner 230 vs 235

Now, speaking about music, the Forerunner 645 has storage for 500 songs, in which you can have different playlists or folders and browse them in the watch. You can pair up with wireless headphones via Bluetooth and enjoy a good run with the beats.
